Message from Noona

Hey Y’all. After 9 years of Noona’s and a year and a half of operating our East Village shop , I’ve decided to close the shop and hit pause on Noona’s. Even though our shop is closed, I feel great joy in taking the risk of having a space in NYC. There were many factors that led to my ultimate decision, but I believe in listening to your body and gut when it starts to make noise so as much as I love making ice cream and sweet treats for y’all, hitting pause on Noona’s seemed like the right thing to do. When the time comes, Noona’s will be back whether or not it comes back in a different way. At the end of the day, my passion is making and sharing wholesome good food. Sweetness is pleasantness. Something I refuse to do though is to market Noona’s and anything I make is a way that the sweet treat dessert category demands which is to make people crave sweets all day everyday which leads to unwanted addictions and obsessions. I wholeheartedly believe in enjoying a little sweetness made with careful attention and quality and it is there that sweet treats like the ones I’ve made at Noona’s for y’all have the power to bring a lifetime of smiles and pure joy. I hope to continue to guide people on their path of flavor and true wealth and delight in body mind and soul.
